Voice lessons

Voice lessons for all ages available in sessions of 30, 45 or 55 minutes.

The studio accepts voice students ages 12 and older. It is best if students are able to read music or have experience playing another instrument, preferably piano. Students who cannot read music will require additional music theory materials. Voice lessons focus on a variety of music styles to promote the development of proper alignment, breathing, resonance, and tone production, in addition to performance style and interpretation. Lessons occur once a week, every week.

Music theory and solfege for sophomore and senior high school students. Duration of 55 minutes.

RCM CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

I highly recommend the RCM Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program for all of my students, ages 5 through adults, who want to set goals of musical achievement. I can prepare any of my students to participate in this even for both voice and piano if they are motivated and dedicated  in preparing for this exam. I will prepare both the practical exam and the music theory section required for the certificate.


  • The RCM Certificate Program is flexible, students may be asynchronous with piano, voice and theory levels and test at the appropriate levels.  All in-person exams are held in a professional music business location, but online examinations are offered as well and are a fantastic opportunity for students who prefer that medium.
  • In-person performance exams are offered live 3 times a year
  • Late summer months may have limited performance availability
  • Students can choose any location throughout the United States.
  • Live performance exams are offered throughout the year
  • Levels  from Prep A through Advanced levels for college prep and Artistry levels for music teachers.
  • Students do not have to take performance exams and theory exams at the same time
  • Theory exams are also offered in an online format or in-person
  • Students receiving the very top score of First Class Honors with Distinction may be invited to perform in the Celebration of Excellence Recitals held typically at USC

Technical Requirements for online lessons
Your online lessons will be conducted through Zoom. Once your session has been scheduled and you have submitted the payment, I will send you a unique link for your lesson. You will need a PC or Mac equipped with a video camera, speakers, a good microphone and an up-to-date browser. You will need a reliable high-speed internet connection for your session, and you should plan to be in a private, quiet location.
